This week’s Music Monday pretty much sums up what I’ve been listening to for the past few weeks.
I’m hating myself that I did not watch The National two weeks ago in Singapore. I love them so much. I will watch them someday.
Heads up to some of my local favorites: Ang Bandang Shirley and The Strangeness!
Girls — Love Like A River
Girls’s new album is fantastic! I’ve sort of been having this one repeat since I got it; well, actually the whole album also. You need to get this album.
I love the new St. Vincent album also! Surprisingly though “All My Stars Aligned” is what I’ve been playing (from her Marry Me album) from her lately though. But the new album is beautiful and cathartic. I really want to see her live again with her just playing a stripped down set.
Oh hi, Music Monday! Oh hi, Stephen Malkus! Oh hi, Stephen Malkmus, again!
Haven’t done this since last year’s weekly habit. Last week’s music was very assorted (though you can’t see); special mention to The War on Drugs. Also, a few students while waiting for their prints sang along to the songs I was playing. I like that.
We were pioneers once, we’ll be pioneers again.
We settle, we build, and it falls apart. We leave, we settle, we build, and it falls apart. We leave.

Sufjan Stevens, Vince Guaraldi Trio, Guster! Christmas music topping my music listenings now! I do need to update my Christmas music. It’s getting a big repetative. Any Suggestions?
I keep on posting my Music Monday on Wednesdays. Not a very good habit. I do get my screencap on Mondays so it’s okay.
Did I already mention how amazing Girls is? It also made me want to bust out The Everly Brothers. Which I did.
Girls — Hellhole Ratrace
I can’t get enough of Girls and this song specifically. I couldn’t really handle myself last Friday.
I drove in rush hour that day and the sun was setting and this song played. I said to myself: “sometimes, everything is okay.”
