Music Monday on Wednesday, again. Not much music scrobbling, super busy week last week. I kept on forgetting to play something while running around the shop.

Was able to catch a livestream of The National last monday! I love hearing Matt Berninger scream. That night I dreamt of just that. I need to watch them in real life.

Got a new batch of tracks to sample, like 100 or so from my secret source! (Legal and free mind you!) This is going to be interesting.

I can’t stop playing “Autumn In New York” by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.

Did some music sampling today. I liked Chief, School of Seven Bells, Holy Ghost! and Jamie Lidell. A lot of the stuff I checked out had a bit of funk, rhythm and blues, Motown kind of feel to it. Is the trend really going there? I didn’t dig it much though. Mainly because I listened to so much in one go and I’m not in the mood for that right now.

I also listened to José Gonzáles side project, Junip. I don’t get why it’s a side project though.

Yeah. I know.

Today was such crap of a day. I’m just happy music is here to accompany me.

Finally got around to listening to Vampire Weekend’s new album Contra. Pretty amazing.
