This week’s Music Monday pretty much sums up what I’ve been listening to for the past few weeks.
I’m hating myself that I did not watch The National two weeks ago in Singapore. I love them so much. I will watch them someday.
Heads up to some of my local favorites: Ang Bandang Shirley and The Strangeness!
“this is clarendon hills”
Man. I miss this band. I was barely in high school and I liked this band along with The Skyflakes. I wish I have their EPs and albums.
Lemâitre — 1:18
Loving this new Norwegian find. I haven’t been excited for electronic music in a while.
Kings of Convenience — Me In You
I meant to post this last week but I forgot. Watch at least up to the first minute!
Girls — Love Like A River
Girls’s new album is fantastic! I’ve sort of been having this one repeat since I got it; well, actually the whole album also. You need to get this album.
I love the new St. Vincent album also! Surprisingly though “All My Stars Aligned” is what I’ve been playing (from her Marry Me album) from her lately though. But the new album is beautiful and cathartic. I really want to see her live again with her just playing a stripped down set.
Oh hi, Music Monday! Oh hi, Stephen Malkus! Oh hi, Stephen Malkmus, again!
Haven’t done this since last year’s weekly habit. Last week’s music was very assorted (though you can’t see); special mention to The War on Drugs. Also, a few students while waiting for their prints sang along to the songs I was playing. I like that.
